Oh Canada

It's official, we no longer live in Rexburg or the U.S. of A. Yep. We have moved the Canada to live in my parents basement until we go to medical school. Feels good to be home. :) (to Canada I mean, not necessarily the parents basement.) Actually I think that it will be lots if fun. We live in a little basement suite that includes 2 bedrooms, a very large family room, a bathroom, and a little kitchenette. Upstairs there are pretty much "on-call" baby sitters and people who absolutely adore my children. I think that we will really enjoy our time here especially since it will probably be the last time I ever live in the home land. As for leaving Rexburg, well I didn't feel that sad. We will miss all our great friends, but are really excited to move on and tackle the next adventure!

Thomas Family 2008

Luis took some family pictures for us while we were in Utah. What do you think?

New Years & More

Our new years eve was loads of fun. We were still in Utah so we played games with Marks family. It was especially fun as soon as I could pry Mark away from an old school Planet of the Apes movie. We kept a close eye on the clock and at just before midnight Travis poured us all some yummy drinks while Morgan, Mason, Jade, & Kaitlyn armed themselves with pots and pans and spoons. At the stroke of midnight we toasted one another, watched fireworks out the window and listened to the ruckus from the pots and pans. Here's to 2008!

I'm going to pull a Heidi and reflect on some firsts of 2007:
1. First time giving birth to a baby boy - Wilson Mark Thomas.
2. First time giving birth outside of the hospital. (I totally recommend it for those of you who are low risk :) )
2. Mark ran his first second Marathon...with his Mom - her first Marathon.
3. Moved from Idaho to Alaska and back again.
4. Went fishing on the ocean while 8mths pregnant and caught some sweet Halibut.
5. Ate Halibut for the first time and LOVED it.
6. Mark took the MCAT and applied to Medical school (which we now have 6 interviews from numerous schools across the country)
7. We both graduated with Bachelor degrees. Wahoo!
8. First time seeing a Moose...and then another one..and then another one...etc. etc. etc.

Ok. there are a billion more but I won't bore you with them all. We loved our adventures in 2007 lets hope 2008 has just as many in store for us.
