Getting to know you.

Of course everyone wanted a chance to get to know my sweet Sam.  I love this picture of me and him having a little moment.  The look on his face is classic Samuel.  He is a very focused baby.  When you talk to him his eyes are glued to your face and when you are done they stay glued to your face studying every little thing.  He rolled over for the first time at 3wks (crazy kid) and has done it again 3 or 4 times since.  He started smiling at 6wks (after a lot of HARD work from me!) and now if you put forth a bit of effort (and it's the right time of day - say 6am) he will smile readily and it is so adorable.  He is into cooing and having conversations and I just LOVE having a baby.  This baby.

While all the grandparents were here Zina wanted to perform so she sang I Am a Child of God for everyone.  It was adorable because she got the hiccups right at the beginning and sang the whole song through her hiccups. :)

Of course we can't have a concert without the violinists.  They didn't disappoint.  Seriously these two are so talented!

And I just like this picture of Wilson.  He has been sick throwing up with a fever and a sore throat and he has also been homesick.  Every time we talk to Mark on skype Wilson will get a sad look in his big blue eyes and say, "Mama, I wanna doe home wight now."  And then he'll start to cry.  I asked why he wanted to go home the most and he said, "I miss Papa....and Bo and Ellie."

Canada Part I - Meeting Brigham & the New Kittens

Surprise! - when we walked in the door of Grandma Nancy's house Uncle Matt, Aunt Michelle, and Brigham were there all the way from Vancouver.  We were so excited to meet Brigham, the newest member of their family.  Wilson immediately fell in love with him and would not leave him alone.

Wilson 2 1/2yrs - Brigham 3 mths

Brigham Thomas Keeler 3mths - Samuel Keeler Thomas 6wks

Aunty Attena immediately brought up a few of the 13! new kitty's from Grandpa's farm.

Father & Thon'th

All I can say is this was PERFECT timing. Wilson loved the one on one time with Papa and he felt extra special to go camping with papa on the "father and thonth." :)

And my little boy is growing up!

Let's face it. Being a mother is hard work. Emotionally, physically, mentally, socially. But there is one area for me that makes up for it all. Spiritually. I feel renewed each day when I look into those little trusting faces. Those faces that look to me to fill them up with loving words, happiness, and peace - but really - that's what they fill me up with. Spiritually because when I feel like I am going to lose it, I fall to my knees and plead for patience, or when I do lose it I fall to my knees and plead for forgiveness. They always forgive. He always forgives. Life's greatest lessons are learned in the home. Yes, I think I'm learning. Slowly. And yes, I am so grateful for each one of mine.

Today the primary sang the song, "I often go walking" for all the mothers. My little Zina was front and center beaming and singing noticeably louder than everyone else. It was adorable. Wilson has been sick so he didn't go to nursery. When Wilson is sick the whole world seems to be ending. So I tried to help when nothing seemed to help. Then of course Zina came along in the middle of it all losing q-tips out her dress. Before church I asked her not to play with the q-tips. Apparently she decided to anyways but so Momma wouldn't know she hid them in her underpants and then forgot about them? Don't ask me how. Her primary teacher brought her to me wondering why q-tips were magically appearing from out of her dress? They weren't sure where they were coming from and felt like I needed to be the one to investigate. seriously. Church was eventful. At least Samuel obediently slept through it all.

We might be slowly going crazy - but at least we are doing it together.

Happy Mothers Day!
