Zina had a few mosquito bites on her cheek that she wouldn't leave alone so we put a bandaid on to keep her from picking at them. Bad idea. This is what her cheek looked like after we took the bandaid off (which I had to do while she was sleeping because she was so attached to it - and it was probably pretty sore underneath). Poor Girl. Allergic to adhesive on bandaids! Who knew?

Yikes! Are you sure it was the adhesive? Or laytex? O man, that is so sad! Is it just me, or are allergies becoming more and more common?

the allergic reaction looks painful, and she looks so sad, but this is really a beautiful picture of little z. look at those eyelashes! one of my favorite pictures of ziya is one where she has a tear drop falling. there's just something about pictures that have lots of feeling in them.
Ah! Did you see my post a couple of months ago about Lilie doing the same thing!? The weird thing is that this has only ever happened when it's on her face. When I have to cover anything on her face now I have to use gauze and paper tape -- they sell this at any Walgreens (and probably everywhere else too). The adhesive is more hypoallergenic (is that the right word?) so that it doesn't cause quite the same reaction as bandaids, but it still wasn't perfect.

That looks awful! Poor Zina. Are you guys having fun in Panama?? I've asked Kellen when you guys get back and come here but he doesn't remember so hopefully you're coming soon:)!
