Here Comes the Sun

This Utah weather has been teasing us unmercifully.  Bits of warmth, blue skies, sunshine, birds chirping and then snaps of cold and grey and snow.  This was a cold snap.  Mark and Wilson went out to make the best of it.  This snowman was pretty awesome.   I was making Sunday dinner and they kept asking for things to make his face - he ended up with dried prune eyes, a brussel sprout mouth and carrot nose.  And he was super tall which the kids loved.

And this was a sunny day.
I LOVED watching these kids get creative and just be kids.
We were tending Lincoln and Dylan and they were all soaking up the sunshine.
 Lincoln, Wilson, Zina
 My sweet Sam.
Baby Dylan - who's not really a baby anymore but we all still call her that. :)
I love love love these pictures of Sam.  He is very particular about having things "just so."  And he always wants his "hat" on (be it a helmet, toque, etc).  I had laid this hat out on the back steps to dry since it was on our snowman and when he discovered it he immediately said, "hat!" and put it on his head.  He wore it all afternoon until Wilson decided to turn it into a bowl for his mud pie.
This look on Sam's face is so Sam.  He is so often in deep concentration or thinking very seriously about things, and yet he is so chill at the same time - just minding his own very serious business.
This is where the masterpiece begins.   They are deep in discussion about their plans.

(I love that Lincoln is wearing a spiderman suit and Wilson is in his super hero cape)
Little kids are the best!

Sammy got bored for a bit and went to mind his own "serious" business again.

Wilson making more "muck" as they called it.

As close to the finished masterpiece as I got.

We love sunny spring days!!! (in February. :))
